3 Simple Steps To Change Your Mindset

In March 2016, I ran a well attended workshop called “Keys To Changing Your Mindset”  in association with Sophia Hubs and Enterprise Desk. The focus of the course was to help business people adjust their mindset for success and many people who attended expressed how important this is and how much they appreciated the practical exercises I shared in the course for their benefit.

The workshop covered these key areas, and more:

  • What is mindset?
  • Identifying negative thinking patterns
  • How to change those patterns to the positive

My Top 3 Ways To Change Your Mindset:

  1. Be inspired. Take time to listen to inspirational music or podcasts. Look around you and enjoy your environment. Go into nature and take in the fresh air, earthy smells and peace and quiet. Gain some perspective from sources around you.
  2. Count your successes. You are a successful person – look back at everything you have achieved to remind yourself how far you have come. Use this excitement and energy to plan the next stage – new goals, new projects and new enthusiasm.
  3. Talk to people. Sometimes we get caught up in our own world getting on with what we need to do and forget there is a whole world out there. Go out and meet people – your friends, family or even new people at a club or activity. This will give you a well earned break, a new perspective and you will be able to come back to your work feeling energised and fresh.
